When I was in high school I fell pretty hard for the Saab 93 hatchback. Stuck in a small town in the middle of nowhere, owning a Saab seemed like a pass to another world, where everything was cool and bizarrely backward. In 2006 my dream came true, I bought a Saab and drove off into the sunset…unfortunately I didn’t make it far…

Four years and nearly $14,000 in repairs later, I decided it might be time to let go. Enter Wayne Yutani. I knew he had a reputation for knowing a thing or twenty about cars, but what I didn’t know was that he was also a super sleuth with unmatched connections across the PNW.

The only problem, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted. I kinda wanted my Saab, only newer and maybe not a Saab. Wayne was able to take that nonsensical jibberjabber and turn it into a Volco C30! And he didn’t mess around either; Wayne took the time to research tons of cars—checking them out down to the warranty details—to find the ride that was just right for me. We even went on a few test drives together, the last ending with me driving off the lot in a new car.
